Position Summary

CanadaCS is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the IT Team. This person will manage a team involved in the analysis, development, integration and maintenance of applications. The Project Manager must have experience in the development of project plans, goals, and budgets, based on a customer’s business and IT requirements.

Position Responsibilities

  • Meets with customers to understand their IT requirements;
  • Based on customers’ needs, the Project Manager develops project plans, goals, and budgets; identifies resources needed, develops schedules and methods for measuring results and guides and performs strategic analysis for each project;
  • Organizes and manages all phases of multiple projects to ensure on-time completion as well as assembles and coordinates project team members and assigns individual responsibilities;
  • Prepares requests for proposals and conducts all necessary meetings to facilitate selection of project services and products. In addition, he ensures the monitoring or management of clients in CRM;
  • Plans and oversees the preparation and dissemination of project communications. Communicates with executives, project sponsors, functional area managers and/or consultants regarding status of specific projects. Produces project reports for customers;
  • Works closely with the internal development team to ensure business requirements and technical solutions are appropriately aligned, delivered on time, within budget and to specification;
  • Develops analysis, project guidelines, documentation standards and evaluates and makes recommendations for needed training;
  • Reviews the designs of computer applications to ensure that all requirements are satisfied and reconciles conflicts within and between staff regarding resources, deadlines, and standards;
  • Interfaces well with all units of the organization and represents CanadaCS in a highly professional and discreet manner;
  • Provides necessary support for system implementations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Management Information, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field;
  • Business and systems analysis skills to understand and manage both client and internal expectations is required;
  • Project management skills with experience of formal requirements gathering tools and methodology is required;
  • Excellent communication skills including documentation skills and client presentation experience;
  • Experience in ERP | EDI | Project Management | Warehouse Management (WMS)
  • Business Intelligence analysis (an asset)
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Has a good knowledge in sales; must handle negotiations well.
  • Understanding of software development life-cycle and technology and the ability to interact with development team on technical issues;
  • Familiarity with expert systems (rules engines) and/or statistical principles and/or data warehousing and/or Web-based applications, an advantage;
  • Very good knowledge and expertise in SQL server (MS SQL or Oracle);
  • The candidate should encourage teamwork and be able to adapt to different business environments;
  • Ability to quickly develop an expertise in the manufacturing, export/import and retail industries;
  • Have at least 2 years of experience and proven success as an IT project manager/business analyst;
  • Should have working knowledge of Microsoft Project Server and the Microsoft Enterprise Project Management concepts;

 

Position Summary

CanadaCS is looking for an experienced Web Programmer to join the IT Team. This person will contribute to the analysis, development, integration and maintenance of applications. In addition, they will support end-users in the use of our software systems/applications within each of their business areas.

Position Responsibilities

  • Depending on the level of complexity, identify and communicate technical problems as well as procedures and applicable solutions;
  • Diagnose, transmit and track operational problems of supported applications to the Project Manager;
  • Design, develop and improve client user interfaces;
  • Work alongside software programmers, multimedia integrators and web designers;
  • Integrate or participate in the integration of applications;
  • Monitor the deadlines of application developments, in collaboration with the Project Manager;
  • Analyze and describe user requirements for applications. Write down all required documentation;
  • Perform quality control on applications/systems at their release and help integrators, as needed;
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to existing solutions;
  • Perform other related duties.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Computer Science or a related field;
  • Bilingual – oral and written;
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience;
  • Knowledgeable in various Web languages;
  • Masters in Back-End development (C#, SQL) and strong in Front-End (Bootstrap, jQuery);
  • Relevant knowledge of the technical platform;
  • Capable of working under pressure, when necessary;
  • Focused on customer service and teamwork;
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate IT-related issues to clients;
  • Good management of priorities;
  • Knowledge of mobile applications and of Magic Software/Unipaas applications, an asset;
  • Knowledge of EDI | XML | Business Intelligence, an asset.
